1949 National Baseball Congress World Series

The 1949 National Baseball Congress World Series title game was a repeat of the final two years earlier as Fort Wayne General Electric beat Golden Coors again to win their third consecutive NBC championship. Fort Wayne become the first team to win three straight NBC titles.

Fort Wayne pitcher Bill Ricks, a negro leaguer, was named tournament MVP.

The National Baseball Congress World Series is played annually in Wichita, KS.
