1950 Central American and Caribbean Games

The 1950 Central American and Caribbean Games were held in Guatemala City, Guatemala from February 25 through March 12, 1950.

 Cuba, managed by Oscar Reyes, bounced back from 1946's performance to go 7-0 and take Gold. They edged 1946 Gold Medalists Colombia by a 2-1 margin only. Sandy Amoros was the star, hitting 6 home runs in 7 games while batting .370.

 Mexico went 6-1 to take Silver. Manuel Jacques led with a .474 average while David Reatiga went 3-0.

 Nicaragua was 4-3 and won Bronze.

 Colombia fell from first last time to 4th here with a 4-3 mark.

 Costa Rica went 3-4 to place 5th.

 El Salvador lost by only one to Cuba but otherwise was not competitive, going 2-5.

 Honduras was 1-6 to tie for last.

 Guatemala did not benefit much from home field advantage, going 1-6 to tie for last.
