The 1952 Boston Braves team was the last Braves to play in Boston, as the franchise was relocated to Milwaukee, WI for the 1953 season. The team's average attendance was a woeful 3,653, despite Braves Field's capacity of 40,000.

Both Eddie Mathews and Lew Burdette were rookies in 1952.

Star third baseman Bob Elliott was traded on April 8th to make room for Mathews. Hank Aaron was signed as a free agent on June 14th, but he would not play for the Braves until 1954.

Warren Spahn led the National League with 183 strikeouts.
