1958 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 1958 National Baseball Congress World Series was won by a west coast team for the first time as Oregon's Drain Black Sox beat the Alpine Cowboys in the title game 8-7. Both teams were appearing in the NBC final for the first time. The following year the Cowboys joined Organized Baseball as an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
Drain outfielder Jim O'Rourke of Santa Clara University was named tournament MVP.
