1994 Southeastern Conference Tournament

From BR Bullpen

From 1993 to 1995, the Southeastern Conference attempted to get 2 automatic qualifiers to the NCAA tournament by holding 2 tournaments, one for the Eastern Division and one for the Western Division. The NCAA declined, instead giving the automatic bid to the division winner with the highest overall winning position.

The Eastern Division baseball tournament was held at Cliff Hagan Stadium in Lexington, KY. #1 University of Tennessee defeated #5 Vanderbilt University for the title. Tennessee's Todd Helton and Steve Soper were named Tournament MVP.

The Western Division baseball tournament was held at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field in Oxford, MS. #1 Louisiana State University defeated #3 Auburn University for the title. LSU's Russ Johnson was named Tournament MVP.
