The 2013 Pacific League Rookie of the Year Award went to Rakuten Golden Eagles starter Takahiro Norimoto, who went 15-8 with a 3.34 ERA and 134 strikeouts, tying for second in the Pacific League in wins. He won easily, with 223 of 233 votes.
The other vote-getters were Tatsuya Sato of the Orix Buffaloes (4 votes), Shohei Otani of the Nippon Ham Fighters (4 votes), Yuji Nishino of the Chiba Lotte Marines (1 vote) and Kodai Senga of the Softbank Hawks (1 vote).
