Biographical Information[edit]
Relief pitcher Aaron Heilman is known for surrendering an important playoff home run. Pitching for the New York Mets with the game tied against the St. Louis Cardinals in the top of the 9th inning of Game 7 of the 2006 National League Championship Series, he surrendered a go-ahead two-run home run to catcher Yadier Molina. The home run proved to be the game winner, with Adam Wainwright shutting down the Mets in the bottom of the frame - he struck out outfielder Carlos Beltran looking on a curveball for the final out.
