Alfredo Angarita played as high as AAA.

Angarita was signed by Houston Astros scouts Oz Ocampo, Oscar Alvarado and Carlos Barrios in 2015. [1] As a utility man for the DSL Astros Blue in 2016, he hit .207/.365/.276 with 41 walks in 55 games. He tied McGregory Contreras for 10th in the Dominican Summer League in walks. He split '17 between the DSL Astros Blue (5 for 25, 2B, 3B, 8 BB, 7 R in 9 G) and GCL Astros (.273/.347/.318 in 32 G). He made his Venezuelan League debut that winter, hitting .304/.396/.337 for the Bravos de Margarita, fielding .988 as their main second baseman.

In 2018, he played for the Quad Cities River Bandits (.247/.332/.323 in 63 G), Buies Creek Astros (.232/.289/.268 in 32 G) and Fresno Grizzlies (0 for 2, SF). He played 2B, SS, 3B, CF and LF that season. That winter, he was 0 for 4 with a walk for the Bravos. He bounced around in 2019, with stops for the GCL Astros (.258/.324/.258 in 8 G), Fayetteville Woodpeckers (.159/.307/.159 in 28 G) and Corpus Christi Hooks (1 for 14, 2 BB) to end his time in the 'Stros system. He batted .271/.326/.312 for Margarita in 2019-2020. He saw reduced action in 2020-2021 (4 for 14, 2 BB, 3 R, 3 RBI) as Erick Salcedo took over the second base job for the Bravos. He was 1 for 5 with a double and a run in 2021-2022.

He was on Venezuela's initial roster for the 2022 Bolivarian Games but was cut?injured? before the baseball portion began and was not on the roster at that point. [2]
