Baseball Challenge League

The Baseball Challenge League is an independent professional baseball league in the north central region of Japan. The League consists of 6 teams.

The League was founded in 2006 and began playing in the 2007 season. Felix Brown, Henry Centeno, José De Paula, Mitch Dening, Frédéric Hanvi, Alessandro Maestri, Kazuaki Minami, Alex Ramirez, Shepherd Sibanda, Jakub Sládek, Shingo Takatsu and Kensuke Uchimura have played here. In 2015, former major league star Julio Franco was hired to be a player/manager at age 56.
