Biographical Information[edit]
After his playing career ended, Bill Hinchman was a Pittsburgh Pirates coach in 1923 and scouted for the Pirates from 1921 to 1958. He signed Lloyd Waner, Arky Vaughan, Rip Sewell, Cookie Lavagetto, and Billy Cox.
Hinchman served as player/manager of the Columbus Senators in 1913 and 1914, before his second shot at the majors.
