Biographical Information[edit]

Puerto Rican-born Carlos Cardoza never played professional baseball. He moved to the United States at a young age and went to high school in Georgia before continuing on to college. He briefly attended Georgia State University before tranferring to a smaller program at Armstrong State University. In college, he was an undersized infielder.

His career in baseball has been as a manager in the Texas Rangers organization, first with the DSL Rangers 2 from 2016 to 2018 and then the AZL Rangers in 2019. He was slated to manage the Hickory Crawdads in 2020 before the season was wiped out by the Coronavirus pandemic and in 2021 was put in charge of the Down East Wood Ducks in the Low-A East.

His younger brother, who goes under the name Esteban Cardoza-Oquendo, has played college baseball.
