Biographical Information[edit]

Carlos Febles hit .400 for the big league club when he got his September call-up as a Kansas City Royals rookie prospect in 1998. He became the Royals' starting second baseman in 1999, hitting .256 in 123 games, with 22 doubles, 9 triples and 10 homers. He scored 71 runs and stole 20 bases. He played for the Royals until 2003, but never matched any of his rookie numbers - except for a .257 batting average in 2000.
