Biographical Information[edit]

Charlie Barber played in the Union Association for the 1884 Cincinnati Outlaw Reds, a team which won nearly 2/3 of its games. Charlie was the regular third baseman, although he was the weakest hitter among the regulars. At age 30, he was closest to the oldest man on the team. According to, Charlie later became a bricklayer and died of tuberculosis.
