Charlie Manlove played in the majors in 1884. He played in the minors before and after 1884, including several years in the minors at Altoona, the town in which he eventually died when he was nearly 90 years old.

The Sporting Life article mentioned above says that Charlie "played such great ball for Altoona in 1883 and did some good work for them last season".
