Daichi Kaino was a 2B-SS for Nagoya for two years (1938-39). He hit .194/.332/.239 in 40 games in the fall of '38 and was just 1 for 11 the next year, albeit with three walks to put his career linat .187/.328/.229. He died in combat in World War II without playing another game in the Japan Baseball League.
