Biographical Information[edit]
Damion Easley was drafted by the California Angels in the 30th round of the 1988 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Rick Ingalls and made is pro debut that summer.
Easley set a Tigers record for second basemen with 99 consecutive errorless games.
Easley was an assistant hitting coach for the AZL Padres in 2012-2014 while serving in the dual role of rehabilitation hitting coach for the San Diego Padres. He continued as the rehab coach from 2015-2018 in a full-time capacity. He was named assistant hitting coach of the Padres in 2019 and was promoted to hitting coach in 2020. He was dismissed after the 2021 season, then joined the Arizona Diamondbacks as assistant hitting coach in 2022.
