Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Danny Bautista played in the major leagues for twelve seasons, with his only season as a regular coming in his final season, 2004, with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He crafted a respectable .286/.332/.401 line as well as a 21 game hitting streak in his swan song. A member of the 2001 world championship D'backs, for whom he batted .583 in the World Series, Bautista retired at 32 in the spring of 2005 following an ankle injury. He is the stepson of former Houston Astros outfielder Jesus de la Rosa.
