Biographical Information[edit]
Dardo Hermann was a center fielder in the Dominican Republic, noted for his defense. His brother Hamlet Hermann pitched for the Dominican national team and Dardo also played with them, hitting .342 in the 1951 Amateur World Series. He played for the Tigres del Licey from 1953-1957. His obituary says he played for the 1956 Shawnee Hawks but other sources don't list him on the roster. Hermann also played basketball and was a softball batting champion.
