1991-1997[edit]
Catcher Darryl Kennedy was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 37th round of the 1991 amateur draft. He spent six seasons in their farm system, before ending his career in the San Francisco Giants organization, making it as far as AAA (where he hit .307 in 1996).
1998-present[edit]
Since then, Kennedy has managed in the minors in the Rangers system and was skipper of the Frisco Rough Riders of the Texas League in 2005 and 2006. He joined the Kansas City Royals organization in 2007. In 2008 He was named manager of the Wilmington Blue Rocks of the Carolina League, a High-A affilliate of the Royals. Spent 3 weeks as a coach for the Kansas City Royals in September 2011 after the rosters expanded.
