George C. Kircher

Biographical Information[edit]
George Kircher played in the minor leagues from 1908 to 1921. In 12 seasons, he collected 1,281 hits while hitting at least 111 doubles and 15 triples. In 1914, with the Atlanta Crackers, he had a career-high 150 hits and four triples, while in 1910, he had a career-high 26 doubles.
He managed the Norfolk Tars for part of 1913, replacing Charles Shaffer and being replaced by Ray Ryan.
He coached Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University from 1924 to 1932.
His surname has also been spelled Kirscher.
