Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder George Rooks was the grandfather of pitcher Lou Possehl. Rooks had only five games in the majors (with the Boston Beaneaters in 1891), but played at least nine years in the minors with teams as diverse as Denver, Montreal, and Vicksburg, MS.
