Biographical Information[edit]
George Zeber hit well in 1977 for the World Series champion New York Yankees, but he didn't have much chance of dislodging Willie Randolph from second base and was out of the big leagues after the next season. Maury Allen's book, Yankees: Where Have You Gone, devotes a chapter to Zeber.
Zeber missed the 1970-1971 seasons due to military service. His son, Ryan Zeber, played in the minor leagues from 1997 to 2001.
