An on-base specialist, Glenn Gulliver is one of the few position players to get more walks than base hits in his career. His only career home run came off Hall of Famer Don Sutton in the 162nd game, winner-take-all match up between the Milwaukee Brewers and his Baltimore Orioles on October 3, 1982; the Orioles lost the game, 10-2, in spite of his home run.
He won Gold with Team USA in the 1975 Intercontinental Cup. In 1989, Glenn Gulliver played for the Gold Coast Suns of the Senior Professional Baseball Association. Gulliver hit .246 with one home run and 21 RBI in 46 games.
Gulliver managed the Bluefield Orioles of the Appalachian League in 1986 and 1988. He also managed the Philadelphia Phillies' Florida State League entry, the Clearwater Phillies, in 1989. The team finished with a 57-79 record.
