Biographical Information[edit]
Grant Briggs played four seasons in the majors, primarily as a catcher and outfielder. Sporting Life reported on a dilemma Briggs had in 1895, when he accepted money from two clubs and was not sure what he was going to do. In addition, he ran a bowling alley in the offseason. During the offseason of 1895-1896 he worked as a driver. In 1910, it was reported that his wife had a dog that won prizes at a dog show.
