Biographical Information[edit]

Guadelupe Jabalera played in the minors then coached and managed in the minors.

Jabalera hit .175/.279/.186 in 34 games for the 1982 GCL Astros, as their main second baseman. Returning to the same club in '83, the Dominican infielder nearly led the Gulf Coast League's second basemen in fielding percentage (.961, .002 off the pace) but batted only .176/.284/.206.

The San Pedro de Macoris native began coaching in the Seattle Mariners chain in 1991. From 1998-2000, he was hitting coach of the DSL Red Sox, then was 28-42 as their manager in 2001. He was hitting coach of the 2002 Augusta Greenjackets, his first time coaching in the US. He was a coach for the Cafeteros de Cordoba in 2003.

In 2004-2005, Guadelupe guided the DSL Mets to records of 34-37 and 27-45. He was hitting coach of the Brooklyn Cyclones from 2006-2008 and of the St. Lucie Mets in 2009. He was hitting coach of the DSL Indians in 2010 and DSL Braves in 2016-2017. Jabalera was a coach for the DSL Mariners in 2021-2022.
