John Ira Courtney

Ira Courtney was the third baseman for the US in the 1912 Olympics, going 2 for 3 with a double and two runs; he handled one putout in the field. He also competed in the 100 meter, 200 meter and 4x100 relay in the Olympics that year. He later was a lawyer; he died of injuries sustained when the building housing his firm exploded.
