Kevin James Selefen

James Selefen was a regular for the New Caledonia national team.
He went 4 for 12 with four runs and a RBI in the 2003 South Pacific Games; the teenager was third on the team in runs behind Matthieu Martel and Jérôme Dangio.  In the 2005 South Pacific Mini-Games, his five runs tied B.J. Balajadia, Kingston Anson and O'Ranli Ise for the tournament lead.  He won Silver with New Caledonia in the 2007 South Pacific Games. 
Selefen began playing in the French minors in 2010.  In the 2011 Pacific Games, he was New Caledonia's center fielder and leadoff man. He hit .238/.333/.381 with four runs, two RBI and two steals in six games, fielding .917. Against the champion Northern Mariana Islands, he fell a homer shy of the cycle. He was hit by two pitches in the event, one behind leader Rodrick Blanco.  He made it to the French Division I in 2014, batting .225/.289/.400 with 3 triples in 40 at-bats for the Chevaliers de Beaucaire.  He tied Florian Peyrichou for 6th in the league in triples despite his limited action.
