Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Joe Bonowitz played in the minors from 1918 to 1936, collecting 2,925 hits, 579 2B, and a .307 AVG in 2,432 games. He spent all but 56 games of his career at A-ball or above. Bonowitz led the 1928 Texas League with 54 2B. He began 1936 as manager of the Americus Cardinals and ended it as manager of the Chattanooga Lookouts.
