Biographical information[edit]
Lithuania-born John Petrulis (also spelled Pitrulis) was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 50th round (798th overall) in the 1966 amateur draft. He played for the GCL Braves that year, hitting .262 in 35 games. The following year, he played for the West Palm Beach Braves, hitting .217 in 41 games. Overall, he hit .237 in 76 minor league games.
His son Paul Petrulis played in the minor leagues from 1993 to 1997.
