Biographical Information[edit]
Katsuo Tanaka earned three batting titles in the Tokyo Big6 Baseball League while compiling a career batting average of over .500 for Waseda University. He went on to manage Waseda's baseball squad from 1937 to 1939.
Tanaka was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985.
