Keystone College was known as Keystone Junior College from 1944 to 1995. The school was approved to begin offering baccalaureate degree programs in 1998.

Keystone won the North Eastern Athletic Conference every year from 2005-2008, then won the Colonial States Athletic Conference in 2009.
