Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Kosuke Yonezawa began his minor league career in 2004. He made eight relief appearances for the Arizona Diamondbacks' rookie level team the Missoula Osprey, going 0-0 with an 11.42 ERA. In 8 2/3 innings, he allowed eight hits and 11 walks, while striking out nine batters.

He joined the Japan Samurai Bears of the independent Golden Baseball League in 2005, appearing in seven games (making two starts) and going 0-2 with a 14.25 ERA. He allowed 22 hits and 16 walks in 12 innings, while striking out five batters.

Overall, Yonezawa went 0-2 with a 13.06 ERA in 15 games. He allowed 30 hits and 27 walks in 20 2/3 innings, while striking out 14 batters.
