Biographical Information

In 2020, Matt Wise was appointed bullpen coach of the Los Angeles Angels under manager Joe Maddon. Just before spring training started in 2021, he was promoted to pitching coach on an interim basis due to the suspension of Mickey Callaway. The interim tag was dropped on May 26th, following the findings of MLB's investigation, which confirmed that Callaway had acted inappropriately and placed him on the ineligible list.
