Miguel Mora has been a frequent catcher for the Spanish national team. In the 1999 European Championship, he played one inning as a backup catcher and did not bat. During the 2001 European Championship, the teenager hit .273/.333/.364 in a part-time role. In the 2003 European Championship, he only batted .190/.217/.238. He hit .136/.208/.182 in the 2005 European Championship but was Spain's starting backstop. He was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk in the Bronze Medal Game win over Germany.
In the 2007 European Championship, Mora hit .200/.333/.200 as Navarro's backup. Mora was 2 for 6 with a walk in the 2007 Baseball World Cup; both of his hits (and a RBI) came in Spain's loss to the host country, Taiwan. In the 2008 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament, he was 0 for 3 in his usual role behind Navarro.
In the 2008 European Cup's Regensburg phase, Mora hit .200/.383/.200 for FC Barcelona to help his team win a Gold Medal, the first by a Spanish team in a European Cup in 40 years. During the 2008 European Cup Final Four, Miguel was 0 for 7 but scored a run after being hit by a pitch.
During the 2008 Division Honor season, Mora hit .261/.356/.304.
