New England Sports Network
NESN is a Cable television channel broadcasting about 150 Boston Red Sox games a year. It's a jointly owned venture between the Red Sox (80% ownership) and the Boston Bruins (20%). The channel started in 1984 as one of the first regional sports networks and is now the largest New England television network. Broadcast studios and headquarters are located in Watertown, MA, about 5 miles from Boston. When the Red Sox are at home, pregame shows are often held from a temporary stage on the corner of Yawkey Way and Van Ness St.
