Northeast Delta Dental Stadium

From BR Bullpen

Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, NH, is the home of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Toronto Blue Jays' Double-A Northeast farm team. The brick beauty is the only ballpark to host the Eastern League All-Star Game three times in 10 years - 2008, 2011, and 2017.

The franchise moved from New Haven, CT, ahead of the 2004 season - but then-Fisher Cats Ballpark didn't open until 2005. The club played the intervening campaign at Gill Stadium, winning the Eastern League crown in a 90-year-old ballpark that had been seriously renovated for that one-season assignment.

The new playpen's naming rights were sold the next season, labeling it Stadium from 2005 through 2010. Northeast Delta Dental has owned the rights since.

MLB imposed new facility standards in its 2021 Minor League Reorganization, and the club estimates getting the ballpark in compliance will cost more than $5.5 million. The Manchester Board of Mayor and Aldermen has approved splitting that cost equally with Fishers ownership.

In 2009, Braves superstar John Smoltz bulged the place with 8,903 during a rehabilitation start for the Portland Sea Dogs. That unseated the 2008 All-Star Game for the house baseball record crowd, 8,115.

It seats 6,500 and features one of the minors' largest sports bars, the Sam Adams Brewhouse.
