Biographical Information

Rihachi Mizuno was the founder of Mizuno Corporation, one of the largest sportswear and sporting goods manufacturers in the world. Founded in 1906 as Mizuno Brothers Ltd., the company sold western products including baseballs. They soon branched out into sports clothing and equipment. By 1913, they were sponsoring baseball tournaments. The company now has factories in the United States, France, Germany, China and Scotland.

Mizuno was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971.
