The Mexican League: Comprehensive Player Statistics
The Mexican League: Comprehensive Player Statistics is the de facto Mexican League baseball encyclopedia. It contains batting and pitching statistics from 1937 through 2000 with some biographical information (batting hand, pitching hand, full name, birthdate and birthplace). The book also includes a list of members of the Salon de la Fama, career leaders for most stats, year-by-year leaders for some stats and a very brief history of the Liga. Batting stats include the main secondary stats (ex. sacrifice bunts, times hit by pitch, grounded into double plays) and pitching stats include the main secondary stats (ex. intentional walks, wild pitches, complete games). The only major stats the book lacks are fielding statistics. Additionally, some data is missing for seasons from the 1930s and early 1940s (such as times caught stealing or games started per pitcher).
