A history of the various Western Leagues from the 19th century through the late 20th century, "The Western League" was written by W.C. Madden and Patrick Stewart. Brief synopses of each season are included, as are standings, league leaders and All-Star Teams. League records are listed and the book has photos from throughout the decades. Some players of note are also discussed in limited detail.
