Biographical Information[edit]

The Cleveland Indians drafted Tom Brennan with the 4th overall pick in the June 1974 draft, and immediately sent him to Triple A where he toiled until finally debuting in the majors in 1981. Brennan had one complete game shutout in his career. It came August 7, 1983 as a member of the Indians against the Texas Rangers. He gave up 7 hits, walked 2 and struck out 5. He had one hit in 8 at bats in his career, the hit being a single on April 16, 1985 as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Houston Astros; the pitcher was Bob Knepper.

Per his 1984 Donruss card, Tom earned one of the great nicknames of all-time, "The Gray Flamingo", "due to his unorthodox, hesitation pitching delivery."
