Tom Petroff
Tom Petroff

Tom Petroff is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He coached Rider College from 1961 to 1970, taking the school to a spot in the 1967 College World Series, the school's only College World Series trip (through 2009). He then coached the University of Northern Colorado from 1971 to 1985. When he guided them to the 1974 College World Series, he became the first person to lead two different schools to the College World Series. After leaving Northern Colorado he was an assistant coach at the University of Iowa [2].
Petroff also managed the Dutch national team in the 1988 Baseball World Cup and 1988 Olympics. He was the Detroit Tigers minor league field coordinator from 1990-1993. He coached for the Netherlands in 1998-1999, winning the 1999 European Championship.
