Wes Curry pitched two games for the Richmond Virginians in 1884. He went 0-2. He later had stints as an umpire in both the American Association, in 1884, 1887 and 1890, and in the National League in 1885, 1886, 1889 and 1898. When he retired after 382 games as an umpire, he held the record for most games umpired by someone who had never worked a full season.
