Biographical Information[edit]
Count Yoriyasu Arima was a Japanese politician and baseball owner.
Arima was a member of the Japanese House of Representatives from 1924-1926 and House of Peers from 1926-1937. He was agriculture minister from 1937-1939. He owned the Tokyo Senators. An adviser to the Japanese Professional Baseball League, he helped keep professional baseball going through most of World War II. In 1969, he was voted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame.
